Lisa Ortenzio, OD

Lisa-Ann Ortenzio, O.D.is a 1990 graduate of the University of Delaware and received her Doctorate from the Pennsylvania College of Optometry in 1995. Her professional career has been spent almost exclusively in ophthalmology practices. She spent two years post graduate training in a long-established Union County ophthalmology practice and subsequently practiced at four large ophthalmology groups in both Middlesex and Monmouth counties in New Jersey, as well as Manhattan.

Dr. Ortenzio has extensive experience attending to pre and postoperative cataract and LASIK patients, including multifocal lens implants and laser-assisted cataract surgery numbering close to 10,000. 

She has a special interest in anterior segment disease, especially dry eye, treating conditions from the routine to the rare. Dr. Ortenzio has specialty training for the Lipiview/Lipiflow system, the only FDA-cleared procedure that treats the root cause of dry eye.

She also has a strong background in the medical treatment of glaucoma, utilizing the most up-to-date diagnostic testing to treat this potentially sight-threatening condition. 

Dr. Ortenzio has served on the Speakers Bureau for Allergan Pharmaceuticals, as well as a speaker for their national sales force training. She is a member of several optometric organizations.

Dr. Ortenzio is thrilled to be part of Bedminster Eye & Laser Center. Dr. Ortenzio is passionate about a high level of care, taking a personal approach with every patient. 

A lifelong resident of Middlesex County recently relocated to Somerset County with her husband, daughter, and dog, Carmela. Her daughter is a recent honors graduate of the University of Alabama. Dr. Ortenzio is adjusting her role as a sorority alumni mom. She is a proud sustaining member of the Junior League of Elizabeth Plainfield, as well as several optometric associations.

She enjoys spending time with her family and friends, trying new restaurants in Somerset County, visiting the beach, and making summer sauce with her friends.
