Dr. Ortenzio graduated from the University of Delaware and earned her Doctorate from the Pennsylvania College of Optometry. She spent two years post-graduate training in a long-established New Jersey ophthalmology practice and subsequently practiced at large ophthalmology groups in New Jersey and Manhattan.
Dr. Ortenzio has extensive experience attending to pre- and post-operative cataract & LASIK patients, including multifocal lens implants and laser-assisted cataract surgery numbering close to 10,000. She has a special interest in anterior segment disease, especially dry eye, treating conditions from the routine to the rare. Dr. Ortenzio has specialty training for the LipiView®/LipiFlow® system, the only FDA-cleared procedure that treats the root cause of dry eye.
She also has a strong background in the medical treatment of glaucoma, utilizing the most up-to-date diagnostic testing to treat this potentially sight-threatening condition
Passionate about providing a high level of care and taking a personal approach with every patient, Dr. Ortenzio is thrilled to join Bedminster Eye and Laser Center.
A lifelong resident of Middlesex County, she lives in Edison with her husband, daughter, and a mini Dachshund. Dr. Ortenzio is a proud sustaining member of The Junior League of Elizabeth-Plainfield. She enjoys volunteering at her daughter’s school, spending time with her family and Saturday nights at a great restaurant with friends.
